Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems

Using your skills to diagnose equipment to determine repairs needed and/or recommended for continued equipment reliability

Performing electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and diesel repairs on equipment. Responsible for performing quality work and attaining goals for efficiency

Owns mechanic toolset appropriate for the work required

Customer deadlines and agricultural seasonality may require additional availability

The Agricultural Equipment Mechanic is responsible to perform repairs and maintenance on customer-owned equipment including but not limited to corn headers, other combine headers, tractors, combines, and a variety of other agricultural implements

Requirements

  • Prefer 3+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic, service technician, field technician, or heavy equipment technician.
  • Mechanic Toolset appropriate for required work.
  • Knowledge and experience of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems

Qualifications

  • On the job experience or Associates of Applied Science or Certification in Diesel Technology, Agricultural Power/Technology or Diesel and Heavy Equipment Technology.
  • Able to operate vehicles and equipment used in service shops
  • Ability to work seasonally extended hours during the week or weekends
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds as required without assistance
